Answer: Telogen effluvium is a condition where an excessive amount of hair falls out – more than normal amounts. There appears to be a general thinning of the hair where your scalp becomes more visible and more obvious. Unlike some other hair and scalp problems, it is on the whole a temporary problem and the hair growth usually recovers over a period of time.
