What Is Sebborhoea? Do I Have It?

02 Oct 2007, by haircentre in Uncategorized

Answer: Sebborhoea of the scalp occurs when the scalp produces excess sebum, leaving the hair and scalp excessively greasy. It is a functional disorder of the sebaceous gland leading to the excessive secretion of sebum. This collects on the skin and in the hair forming an oily coating which can result in crusts and/or heavy scaling.
