Severe Chemical Trauma and Weaves Recovery: Wendy’s Hair Loss Story

We transformed Wendy's hair loss in 12 months. The damage caused by chemical trauma from relaxers and weaves had significantly degraded her hair health.

Wendy’s hair loss issues: Chemical trauma caused by weaves and relaxers

Wendy, a woman of colour in her 30, came to us distressed about her rapidly thinning hair. Years of chemical relaxer use and tight weaves had taken a severe toll, causing a dramatic 60% density loss. Despite having a healthy scalp, the repeated chemical exposure and manual tension had severely weakened her hair, making it brittle, prone to breakage, and significantly thinner. Wendy felt frustrated and self-conscious and wanted a solution to repair the damage and regain her hair’s natural fullness.

Wendy’s hair loss transformation

Wendy’s hair loss treatment plan

We developed a 12-month intensive treatment plan using 20% Vitastim and 20% Biostim, applied twice daily for Wendy. This high-strength plan was designed to repair the extensive damage caused by chemical relaxers and weaves, strengthen the hair structure, and promote new growth. By targeting the follicles and the hair shaft simultaneously, the goal was to restore density and prevent further breakage.

Wendy’s outcome

After a year of treatment, Bianca experienced a dramatic transformation. The thinning areas returned, with her hair density improved significantly. The outcome gave Bianca a fuller, healthier look to her hair. The success of the treatment not only restored her hair but also brought back her confidence and a renewed sense of self-assurance.

“Wendy’s case shows how resilient hair can be with the right treatment. Despite severe damage, the combination of high-strength formulas and her commitment to the plan resulted in a full hair density restoration, giving her back the healthy, beautiful hair she thought she had lost.”

Severe Chemical Damage/Traction Alopecia, what is it?

Traction Alopecia is hair loss caused by constant tension on the hair, such as that created by an over-tight ponytail, plaiting or using too-tight rollers to style the hair. The action of pulling on the hair over a long period of time results in the gradual shrinking of the hair follicle, and so the hairs produced become finer and finer.
