Reversing Hair Loss in Her 70s: Doreen’s Story

Discover how we 12 months, Doreen overcame 40% density loss caused by female pattern hair loss and Telogen Effluvium (TE). With a personalised treatment plan, she regained hair fullness and revitalized her appearance.

Doreen’s hair loss issues: Female Pattern Balding and Telogen Effluvium

Doreen, a vibrant woman in her mid-70s, came to us distressed about her thinning hair. Diagnosed with female pattern hair loss and Telogen effluvium (TE), she had experienced a 40% reduction in hair density. Although her scalp was healthy, these conditions were causing excessive shedding and visible thinning, making her feel much older and affecting her confidence.

Doreen’s hair loss transformation

Doreen’s hair loss treatment plan

We created a 12-month regimen using 15% Vitastim and 15% Biostim, applied twice daily in the morning and evening. The focus was to reduce the shedding caused by Telogen effluvium, stimulate hair follicles, and boost overall density to counteract the impact of female pattern hair loss.

Doreen’s outcome

After a year of dedicated treatment, Doreen’s hair made a remarkable recovery. The excessive shedding was brought under control, and her hair density improved significantly, restoring her hair’s thickness and vitality. Doreen was thrilled with the outcome, feeling more youthful and confident than ever before.

“Doreen’s story is proof that it’s never too late to take action against hair loss. With the right treatment and a proactive approach, we successfully addressed her dual hair conditions and helped her regain a fuller, healthier look.”

What is Telogen Effluvium?

Telogen Effluvium occurs when the hair’s growing phase is interrupted prematurely, causing the hair follicles to enter the telogen (resting) phase of the hair cycle earlier than expected. Following the regular cyclic pattern, diffuse shedding of the hair begins two to four months later.

Female Pattern Balding, what Is It?

Female Pattern Balding (FPB), also known as Androgenetic Alopecia in women, is a hereditary condition characterised by gradually thinning hair on the scalp. Unlike male pattern baldness, which typically presents as a receding hairline, FPB generally causes diffuse thinning across the top of the scalp, sparing the frontal hairline.
